It began last year…
I have to say my Brazilian friends here in Melbourne, are very talented in craft. And they’re so inspiring!!
Once we were hanging out at Alyne’s place, playing Cluedo, when we haven’t had where to put the game’s pieces in. So she said: “Why don’t we make a little bag for it?” My following though was: “What do you mean by make it?” I had never touched a needle before, I didn’t even know where to start. So she encouraged me to make one myself, as I also have a Cluedo at home.
There she came with all her craft tools, gave me a piece of fabric, needle ant thread, and told me the firsts steps. And I really made it! My own first craft bag! I liked it so much that I made a second one to keep the cards of the game!! I loved it. That was the result:
Later that night, I went home very satisfied with my “new skills” that I dreamed the whole night with crafts. The following morning, I couldn’t resist myself and I went straight after breakfast to a craft store. I bought everything: fabrics, threads, buttons… And couldn’t wait much to go back home to start crafting!
I always had a passion for accessories and one I like the most is flower brooches. They are delicate and give different feelings to your outfit, depending on your mood. When you look up the mirror and feel like it’s missing something, try to put a charming flower-brooch on your shirt, or even on your scarf! Makes the whole difference!!!
So I decided to train my craft skills making fabric flower brooches for myself. Then I realised it was nearly Christmas time, and I was going to Brazil to spend Christmas eve with my family, when I had the brilliant idea of making flower-brooches for everyone instead of stuffing my bags with larger gifts. I thought about it, my flower-brooches would be a lovely gift, plus every single one would receive a personalized present. I’m incredibly fantastic!
And that’s one of them:
After all of that, I felt like it was missing something for the gifts. I couldn’t give them away just like that, feeling kind of naked. That’s when I decided to make a little personalized bags for each one (as it was my very first lesson). So every single flower-brooch came in a matching customized bag!! And that’s the final result:

you are sooooo talented, my dear! the last one is…. mine!!!!!! xoxoxo
Hahahaha I learnt from you as well, gorgeous!!! Missing you already, I wish we live closer so we could have a coffee or two more often! :*
