Happy New Year…

Well, as a famous saying goes: “Better later than never”, right? Great!!

I’m sooooo soorry for the lack of posts peeeps, it’s all because life is busy busy busy again. Which I’m loving it.

But let me tell you how our new year has started…

Just like always, Dan and I are the perfect combination for each other. This Year, we’d decided to pass New Year’s Eve all by ourselves. Just the two of us!! <3

Do you know the feeling when you are on the right place, with the right people, with the right songs? That kind of perfect party that we all have been once? Yeah, that was our New Year’s Eve! With the perfect measure of everything we like, our own party for just the two of us. <3

Not that we don’t have our own celebrations, aniversaries, valentine’s day… It’s different, it’s bigger and much exciting when you are celebrating something that every one else is, but just the two of you…

It kind of sounds very weird and selfish, but that’s not the point. The feeling of preparing a whole party for the two of us only, knowing that every detail will fit just perfect because we know what each other like, is so much exciting!! You don’t have idea! I would do it all over again! Many times. We had the best time ever, and we will ever have… If you know what I mean. <3

I’m having a ball!!!

There’s no way you listen to this song and stay still… You gonna start shaking your legs, even unconscious, even if you don’t want to and when you realized it you are already dancing and shaking your whole body, like a teenager in love, singing and clicking your fingers with the rhythm, because that’s what this song is about.

It’s about loving living and being a part of it. Put this song a bit louder, closer your eyes and feel the magic. Dance! This song makes me feel so good, so happy, so full of energy that I needed to share with you guys. “Cause I’m having such a good time, I’m having a ball”!

Enjoy!

Romantic Vegas

As I wondered before, who in this entire world would imagine romanticism in Las Vegas? No one told me that it would be, it just happened to me.

But if you’re looking for a romantic trip in Vegas, you definitely gonna find the most enchanted things in the world.

To start with, there’s a gondola ride at Vetetian Hotel. The ride takes place both inside and outside the hotel, where you can enjoy different views of a Venice made in Vegas. The gondola rider is an authentic Italian singer, whom sings beautiful romantic opera classics during the ride.

Venetian Casino Hotel

Another enchanted place to be in Vegas are the Fountains of Bellagio. Just in front of the magnific Bellagio Hotel, the splendorous fountains “dance” for you every 15 minutes. At our first visit to the fountains, it was playing ‘Your Song’ by Elton John. And the fountains simply dance in the rhythm of the music… I have no words to describe it… It was magical!

The Fountains of Bellagio

One thing you’ve got to go in Vegas is The Beatles Love by Cirque du Soleil . The show is fascinating and I felt like dancing in every music, almost about to cry. ‘Cause you know… Beatles!

Love, love, love. All we need is love

As it is the week of love, why not talk more about it? Love should be always in the air. It’s everything so much prettier when there’s love inside.

"Love, love me do
You know I love you
I'll always be true
So please... love me do" (The Beatles)

Back in our trip to Las Vegas I was thinking: “Who in this entire world would imagine that the famous sin city, the splendorous Las Vegas could be romantic?” I wouldn’t! But my knight shining armour, Daniel, made my Vegas the most romantic trip ever.

To start with, as he arrived a few hours earlier than me, he prepared some surprises. When I finally got to our hotel, he started: Champagne… chocolates… I should’ve known there was something special happening. But for me, just to be in Vegas was special enough to celebrate! Who would think…

I was so excited with everything that I completely forgot about my tiredness over a 15 hour flight.

So we started with Champagne. “Let’s warm up for Vegas night” pass through my mind. And there he came… with my eyes banded, he went down his knees, holding a beautiful red rose with a diamond ring inside: “Will you marry me?”

“WHAT???” I replied! And he was on his knees still, holding the rose, looking at me. Oh my Goodness!!! Is it true? Is this real life? I didn’t believe it. Does anyone believe it at first time? I started laughing and crying and he had to propose again: “Will you marry me, sweetheart?” And I could finally say something: YES! Yes I will!

That was the most magic moment! I would yell to the entire world that I’m engaged!! Just like Monica of  ’Friends’ did it:

So, we went to celebrate in Vegas… ‘Cause, you know. We were in Vegas, babe. And we were just engaged! And that was so exciting!

The awkward moment came when I felt like shouting loud to the whole world that I was engaged, but I had no phoooooooone!! I just had internet access back in the hotel and there was so much to do out there, plus the time zone was all different that I could not find my mother to tell her everything about it!

That’s the rose. That’s the Champagne. And the ring is right here on my finger!

Oh Vegas!! From that day, we are now bride & groom.

I’m still super excited with this idea. Every time he says for someone else: “That’s my fiancée”, I got butterflies in my stomach… I’d say, butterflies everywhere!

Day of Love

Well dear friends, I know I’ve so much to tell you all about my vacation overseas, but I couldn’t pass through this special day: February 14th. The day of love. The Valentine’s Day.

As my favourite description of love says: Love is a many splendid thing, love lift us up where we belong. All we need is love.

Wish you all have a lovely day celebrated with heaps of love. ‘Cause today is the day of love.

Not only a special day to celebrate with your lover, but also to demonstrate love to whoever you loves. So today, love your sisters and brothers, love your mum and dad, love a friend, and most of all, love yourself.

Best gift ever

It’s Christmas time!! We’re heading to Brazil to spend Christmas eve with mum, grandma, papa, brother, uncles, aunties  and cousins! Can’t wait to be with them!

But I couldn’t forget to celebrate this magic date with our family here in Down Under, our friends who has always been with us, sharing every single moment we’ve spending in Australia.

So we had a Pre-Christmas eve dinner last night, with a funny Kris Kringle. This time, the gift should be creative, we arrange between us we could hand make the gift or have a great idea of what to buy. We had such a fun time together, with awesome creative gifts!

Craft gifts made with heaps of love

Talking about gifts, I would like to say a little bit more about what I’ve got this year. First, I’d like to thank God for those special gifts, that I call friends. There’s no words to describe how precious they are. They’ve been part of every little piece of my life, sharing and giving so much, like angels lighting up my paths.

At this evening, I got a few gifts from them. Made with heaps of love for sure. But the real gift, is to have them in my life.

Love you two so much!!

In a couple of hours I’m heading down to Brazil! A 30-hour trip is waiting for me. Can’t wait to see everybody there!! And despite it’s been only 8 months since I went to visit them, I’m missing ‘em so f*@#$% much!!

Stay tuned for uploads from Brazil!!! Here we come!!

Love, hate and thinking big

Back when I was studying Journalism, I always hated Advertising and Marketing and everything about it. Even though both courses are part of Communications, we used to be more like rivals. I don’t know how to explain it, but for me (as a journalist) Ad people write in a repetitive way. Anyway…

After I finished my Bachelor in Journalism, guess where I ended up? In a Marketing course! That’s hilarious, isn’t it? Yeah, but it was my only option. I couldn’t choose between Tourism or Hospitality, no way. It was meant to be Marketing! Despite the firsts months in class were a bloody hell, I reckon I’ve made the right decision.

I’ve learnt so much with it. The Marketing course, that I just finished, gave me a wider impression of the Communication world. It’s all about the understanding of needs and desires of those people we maintain relationships with. Actually the whole marketing thing turned out to be quite interesting.

Marketing is about to set your objectives in smart way. So is your life! And that’s what I’m talking about. The marketing course opened my mind to figure out my future plans and goals, which I’m starting to set right now!

How about you,

Have you ever ended up doing something (anything) you first hated?

What did you learn with that?

Did you start to love it?
